A pear of socks

Yesterday I put beads on socks. I did some last year for boutiques and Maria from Maurice's office wanted some more for her girls. Grace saw me doing them and thought that, of course, they were for her, and she couldn't understand that they could possibly be for someone else. I gave up and gave her a pair.

This morning we took a drive to Courtland, pear country near the Sacramento Delta. It was Pear Fair Day. As we drove, we told Grace we were going to see some pears on trees. As we got closer to the area, she said, "Mom, I don't see any pairs of socks on trees."

Eventually, she figured it out, and I took her picture with pears on trees and a pair of socks.
